This Nursing Assessment Form includes guidelines for when to activate the Medical Emergency Team (MET). The MET activation guidelines are included on all Medical-Surgical flow sheets as a reminder to activate the MET if any of the abnormal signs or symptoms are present. This allows the floor nurses to identify criteria for activating the MET response and also allows the MET nurse to provide early expertise assessment and intervention.
