Project Fives Alive! works to assist Ghana in achieving Millennium Development Goal 4 — reducing mortality in children under five by sixty percent by 2015. The program is being implemented in four waves and is funded by The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. IHI works in collaboration with the National Catholic Health Service to build capacity for continuous improvement across health systems and to spread the changes being tested in current programs to the rest of the country. The project was launched in July 2008.
