Improving Oral Health Care for HIV-Positive Patients
By distributing material to dental residents on the importance of oral health care and incorporating dental hygienists into the HIV adult clinic, Brooklyn Hospital Center (Brooklyn, New York, USA) increased oral health referrals from 27 percent to 88 percent, and increased oral health care for referred patients from 18 percent to 75 percent.
