BRAC strives to bring about positive changes in the quality of life of the poor people of Bangladesh by working with people whose lives are dominated by extreme poverty, illiteracy, disease and other handicaps. It offers various programs focused on economic development, education, health, and human rights. BRAC offers comprehensive health care to 31 million people, and reaches 82 million people with its tuberculosis (TB) control program.
