The aim of this template for acute myocardial infarction, developed by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement Innovation Team and faculty, is to guide the local design of a reliable care system. The template is based on a combination of human factors engineering and reliability science. The template is being tested in a project sponsored by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, in partnership with Premier, Inc.
